New forms and methods of waging terrorist war of the Russian federation against Ukraine

The authors of this article attempt to present to Ukrainian society and state authorities a general concept for countering the enemy’s attempts to remotely recruit individuals through social media. This recruitment strategy aims to establish a support base within Ukraine’s rear, consisting of «Russian World» sympathizers and marginalized groups, for the purpose of conducting terrorist acts and carrying out reconnaissance and sabotage activities. The article analyzes new forms of terrorist warfare employed by Russian special services against Ukrainian citizens (foreign nationals). These tactics create dangerous challenges to Ukraine’s national security. The article also provides recommendations for countering the identified forms and methods of terrorist warfare employed by the aggressor state on Ukrainian territory.
